Advantages of antimony flame retardant: Antimony trioxide cannot be used alone as flame retardant, but can be used in combination with appropriate halogen compounds to achieve particularly effective flame retardant performance. Antimony flame retardant synergistic mechanism disadvantages: heavy metals, toxic, and arsenic homologs, crude products generally contain arsenic and other heavy metals, arsenic trioxide is arsenic. Can not be used as green filler and green flame retardant. Second, aluminum hydroxide flame retardant (ATH) Advantages: low price, good flame retardancy. Disadvantages: poor heat resistance, dehydration starts at 200 ℃, dehydration starts at 330 ℃ to 350 ℃, and the curing of resin is mostly within the dehydration temperature range of aluminum hydroxide, thus causing foaming in the finished synthetic resin product, uneven surface, decreased dielectric properties and low yield. When applied to high temperature, the silica gel fogs, the product whitens and bubbles, and the dielectric property decreases. EC ≈ 60 ~ 100 μs/cm, easy to absorb moisture. Three, magnesium hydroxide flame retardant advantages: Application of magnesium hydroxide flame retardant (430 ℃ decomposition) Non-toxic disadvantages: not acid resistant, acetic acid can dissolve magnesium hydroxide, only suitable for low-grade products. Easy to absorb moisture, poor dispersion, poor dielectric. Four, high heat resistant boehmite flame retardant (Boehmite, ALOOH) Advantages: 1% dehydration temperature reaches above 350 ℃, dehydration reaches peak at 500 ℃, EC < 50μs/cm, strong dielectric, solves the problem of product defects and dielectric reduction caused by low dehydration temperature of aluminum hydroxide, and has strong acid and alkali resistance. Disadvantages: the flame retardancy is slightly lower than that of aluminum hydroxide, and more is needed to achieve the same flame retardant performance. But its biggest characteristic is high heat resistance, both thermal conductivity, acid and alkali resistance, made of high heat resistance functional materials can improve the added value of the product.
