ADVANTAGES OF MINERAL INSULATED CABLES

Fire and heat resistant: The MICC cable can withstand very high temperatures (higher than 1000°C), since all its components are inorganic. It can go on working during a fire, maintaining power to all emergency services, allowing all safety and protection measures within the building to be activated.

Waterproof: The mineral insulated metallic sheath prevent the penetration of water, and dust towards the cores. 

Mechanical strength: The metallic sheath acts as a protective screen, and therefore Mineral insulated cables can withstand extremely high mechanical stress such as crushing and curvature with a bending radius equal to 6 times the diameter of the cable.

High operating temperatures: The mineral insulated cable with a copper sheath (power and heating) can work at ambient temperatures of up to 250°C.

Conductor is drawn with oxygen-free copper rod by pull-up method and formed by drawing with domestic advanced stranded wire equipment. Through the full-automatic DC power bridge test, the measured resistance is 4% less than the national standard value.

The insulation is formed in disposable by 6-head tower-type winding machine, with high rate and stable overlapping rate, so as to reduce the damage of mica tape caused by layered burning.Mica tape is treated by special technology, making the insulation resistance exceed 500% compared with the national standard value.

The copper and aluminum corrugated sheath adopts the domestic advanced argon arc welding tube production line, and is fully automatic in monitoring and welding. Grain line is even, beautiful and symmetrical, and the measured sheath resistance is about 10% smaller than the resistance specified in the national standard.
